The Jamestown Seed Library seeks to benefit the community by providing free seeds to the public. Our goal is to get more people excited about their own food!
The seeds are housed in the old card catalog located at the Stutsman County branch of the James River Valley Library. Seeds are available whenever the library is open and as long as our stock lasts.
Each packet contains enough seeds to plant about a 12’ row. There is a FIVE PACKET LIMIT PER VISIT.
You will be asked to fill out a short form listing the seeds you have picked up and contact information. Give this form to the librarian at the front desk. This will allow for replenishment of the seeds and letting you know about any related events.
You don’t even have to have a library card to “check out” seeds, so stop by and pick up some today!
