The Thomas Matchie collection at James River Valley Library System's archives includes a book collection of Native American literature, regional literature, Matchie teaching books with notes, and several other books. Matchie’s academic work is represented through copies of his thesis and dissertation, printed journal articles, original copies of journal articles and unpublished works, and theses written under his instruction. Additional items in the collection include personal files, personal copies of family letters, family pictures, cards from Tom’s ordination ceremony, awards, and other miscellanea. Tom Matchie’s brief autobiography is also part of the collection.
